Our accessible design
Accessibility is part of how we care.
Clarity Circle is being built for adult children, caregivers, and older adults. Clear reading, predictable movement, and dignified language are product requirements for us, not finishing touches.
Readable type
Marketing body copy begins at 18 pixels with a generous line height, and essential product preview copy is 18 pixels or larger. Small supporting labels remain at least 16 pixels. Headlines use Source Serif 4 for warmth and clarity, while product previews use Atkinson Hyperlegible to keep similar letterforms distinct.
Comfortable contrast
Warm Linen replaces glaring white. Ink, Deep Teal, Signal, and Ember were selected for readable contrast. Lamplight is reserved for accents on dark surfaces and never carries important text on a light background.
Motion with a quiet option
Movement helps explain continuity and flow, but it should never become a barrier. When a device requests reduced motion, automatic transitions and decorative animation stop while all content remains available.
Keyboard and screen reader support
Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, labels, visible focus indicators, a skip link, keyboard-operable controls, and descriptive image text. The product tour supports arrow keys as well as touch and pointer input.
Plain, respectful language
We speak about people before conditions. We avoid fear-based language, unexplained technical terms, and claims the product cannot support. Important current and future product boundaries are written directly on the page.
Designed to keep improving
We test core pages against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria using automated checks, keyboard review, small-screen review, and reduced-motion settings. Automated testing cannot catch every barrier, so feedback from real people remains essential.
